A27M Cromwell
The Cromwell tank, officially Tank, Cruiser, Mk VIII, Cromwell (A27M), was one of the series of cruiser tanks fielded by Britain in the Second World War. Named after the English Civil War leader Oliver Cromwell, the Cromwell was the first tank put into service by the British to combine high speed from a powerful and reliable engine (the Rolls-Royce Meteor), and reasonable armour. The intended dual-purpose high velocity gun could not be fitted in the turret and the medium velocity dual purpose gun fitted proved inadequate. Read More136 downloads -
Koshyan Type-43
Medium Tank/Cavalry Tank Mass: 25 tons Armor: Frontally sloped in excess of 120mm LOS Armament: 7cm gun Penetration: 98mm Early war, 120mm Midwar Top speed: 45kph Early war, 60kph Midwar This medium tank is my current best Sprocket version of the fictional Type-43 design by Lex Collins/Petuko. Below is their original blurb for this design: "Developed in the c.330s, this 25-ton cavalry tank surprised the Old World with its effective well-sloped armor, rugged simplicity, and vast production numbers. Anchortop began receiving its own Type-43s in the late 30s, and had a handful of factories producing them well into the late 40s. The tank was sold and exported on a large scale to many nations, and was periodically upgraded and updated by the various militaries that used it. As much as Baloran's Emperor gained a reputation as a heavily armed and armored behemoth, the Type-43 came to be known as its opposite number, valued for its low cost, durability, speed, and overall effectiveness. By the c.350s the tank had become so widespread, with so many variants produced from all corners of the world, that there were literally thousands of different configurations of Type-43s. Most of the core parts were kept the same, which meant repairs and maintenance on the Type-43 was easier than any other armored vehicle. Even today, the Type-43 appears to hold the record for most-produced tank in the world, and though obsolete by present standards, it continues to be used as an option of last resort." WW1 British Heavy Tank
A take on the British Heavy Tank of WW1, due to some limitations, the sponsons had to be removed and the cannon had to be moved to the center of the hull, and the main caliber had to be changed to a 35mm rather than a 57mm to play in WW1 scenarios. The armor and engine are as similar as they can be. The armor being around 12-6mm thick. Read More217 downloads -
